Venturia: Driving Innovation in Italy through Venture Building

If you have an SME generating €20-500M in revenue, employing people, owning patents and know-how that could change a market. If you feel like a Founder with what it takes to dominate. Or you’re an investor looking for a new opportunity.

Give us 5 minutes to explain who we are.

We’ve already talked about Venture Building and its specific models in previous articles—now let us take a few lines to give context to the results we’ve produced and how we got here.

Let’s start with the second point. In recent years, we’ve focused on a single thing: Launching companies. We’ve done it almost always by connecting existing value with validated ideas. And we’ve often done it by cutting go-to-market times to the bone.

But we need to be honest—until today, without a defined system. The reality is we thought primarily for ourselves, generating everything we’ve mentioned.

Venturia was created to give shape to this experience, to define the structure where SME strength, founder talent, venture building methodology, and investor capital can generate recurring, real value.

And to try to break one of the paradoxes that bothers us most: Italian industry has all the resources to play with the big players, Italian Founders and startups have all the talent needed to excel—but the lack of dialogue between them is costing us billions, and the longer we wait, the more it will continue to.

That said, below we get specific—how do we plan to reverse course?

Our Method: From Validation to Champion

What defines us? A ruthless, data-driven selection process. We don’t bet on many startups hoping for a black swan. We build the conditions for success to be replicable, predictable, and scalable.

Our four-phase methodology:

1. Screening & Validation: With us, projects aren’t born from simple hunches. They emerge from deep market analysis and untapped expertise already present in partner companies. We validate problems before budget is invested in shiny products.

2. Go to Market: Once problem-solution fit is confirmed (when we understand the solution effectively solves the given problem), we fund the company with approximately €100K and provide complete operational support. But let’s be clear—this isn’t consulting, it’s execution.

3. Scaling: The startups we create leverage our industrial network to reach commercial traction faster than any bootstrapped competitor could dream. Access to our distribution channels, pilot customers, and strategic partnerships becomes a competitive advantage. And yes, we love to spell this out very clearly—we are:

Client-backed, Revenue-Driven, and Brutally Fast.

4. Exit: The ultimate goal is clear from the start: industrial acquisition by a strategic player or financial exit to maximize returns.

But let’s be real—looking only at the four phases mentioned so far, you might think they’re too generic. And you’d be right. Following the manual to the letter isn’t enough to excel in Italy.

That’s why, to a proven process, we add the fuel no one else has: the density of our Industrial Network, the intersection between startup agility and the strength of Italian SMEs we talked about earlier.

Plus the firepower of international Strategic Partners like RÖDL, a global legal giant present in 49 countries with €700M in annual revenue; Gruppo Arturian, an industrial giant with over 300 employees and €200M revenue in Italy; plus a widespread network of institutional investors.

Venture Building: Venturia’s 360° Win-Win Model

Here’s the real revolution in our approach: the Venturia model doesn’t create winners and losers. It’s a value multiplier where every actor in the chain finds concrete, measurable, strategic advantages. We don’t distribute value—we create it from scratch.

For SMEs: Innovation Without the Chaos

Asset Valorization: We transform industrial know-how and proprietary technologies into real competitive leverage. That technology developed three years ago and never commercialized? It becomes the core of a new startup.

New Revenue Streams: We open revenue flows completely external to the traditional business. The company continues producing while we generate parallel value that diversifies risk and amplifies shareholder returns.

Talent Attraction: Becoming part of a venture builder allows you to attract the best innovation talent, who often flee traditional corporate structures.

For Founders: Never Alone Against the Market Again
Ready-to-Use Infrastructure
: You don’t start from a blank sheet in a garage. You have initial capital, corporate structure already established, validated processes, operational support team.

Immediate Market Access: The most deadly phase for any startup is finding the first customers willing to pay. We give you direct access to our partner SMEs. Real customers. With real budgets.

Total Focus on What Matters: No more sleepless nights trying to figure out how to register a company, manage accounting, negotiate legal contracts, or navigate tax bureaucracy. You handle product, growth, and vision. We manage everything else.

For Investors and Stakeholders:

Structural De-risking: Our multi-phase validation process systematically eliminates projects without a future before they burn significant capital. Startups that reach the market have already passed filters most founders don’t even know exist. The result? Failure rates drastically lower than sector average.

Deal Flow: We offer partners access to already-filtered, validated, and co-invested deals. You don’t have to sift through 500 pitch decks hoping to find the right idea. We bring you only opportunities that have already demonstrated real traction.

Portfolio Efficiency: By investing in the Venturia model, you’re not betting on a single startup—you’re investing in an entire factory that produces several per year. The math changes radically: even if only 2-3 out of 10 reach significant exits, returns amply cover the entire portfolio.

Our Portfolio: Venturia’s Champions

But what matters are the results, right? Well, here they are.

Lucen – the group’s first champion. Now a full-fledged innovative SME, after a maturity phase it’s preparing for IPO. Operates in the enertech sector on infrastructure projects and in the last three years has generated approximately €150M in revenue, distributed €2.5M, and hired over 40 employees.

Ennexia – focused on smart building solutions, automation, and advanced home automation, reached €2.1M in revenue with €400K profit managing over 50 projects. In just under 3 years.

Navia – our “Tesla of the sea” creates electric boats eliminating emissions, closed a €250K seed round followed by €370K with participation from CDP (Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, the national strategic innovation fund).

Tabulia – tech startup leveraging AI automation to make industrial processes more efficient, recently acquired “Sinapsic Robotic” and its team in an M&A operation.

Sunlight – Distributes solar panels that arrive at home or office, you connect them to an electrical outlet and start saving on bills. No technicians, no installations—literally photovoltaic-as-a-service. Has already validated technology and market, currently in go-to-market.

Dronesafe – startup handling site and construction monitoring through drones. Already flight-enabled and in ENAC certification (National Civil Aviation Authority, the authority regulating Italian airspace and deciding who can operate drones professionally).

Nexalia SaaS with vertical focus on engineering and architecture, their goal is to eliminate inefficiencies in project creation processes. In technological and commercial validation phase.

Added to this is our investment vehicle LAB5, designed to give partners access to an exclusive club deal. Practically, a tool for investing in selected opportunities outside the ventures we launch firsthand. We used it, for example, to participate with €100K in the €2.5M round of StradaAI, a very interesting startup also in the drone field.

Building Italian Innovation, Together.

Paralyzed bureaucracy. Blocked capital. Untapped assets.

Industrial Italy is extraordinary but afraid to dare. This is today’s snapshot: while other European countries race toward innovation, Italy is unfortunately stuck in its “comfort zone.”

But this is exactly where the opportunity we propose hides.

Venturia exists to explode this paradox. We take those who know how to build and those who know how to dream, and we put them in the same room. We give founders the foundations they lack. We give SMEs the future they’re looking for.

Now the question becomes: will you join us?
